AJCER also operates the Georgie Porgie Legal Services Program, which provides free representation to poor children in court proceedings related to family law, education, juvenile justice, and more. Through the program, AJCER helps those who would otherwise be unable to afford a lawyer.
In 2014, AJCER received a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute for Community Justice (NICJ) to support its Access Georgia initiative. The Access Georgia initiative aims to make legal services available statewide through partnerships with community-based organizations.
